Seminar at Cairo Chamber of Commerce in Preparation for the Implementation of the (ACI Aviation) and the Export System on “Nafeza” Platform

With the participation of MTS, the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, chaired by Mr. Ayman El-Eshry, organized an introductory seminar at the chamber’s headquarter on Thursday 18th of December 2025 to present the latest updates to the customs system. The seminar comes in preparation for the mandatory implementation of the (ACI Aviation) starting from January 1, 2026, in addition to reviewing the enhanced procedures cycle for the Export System on “Nafeza” platform.

The seminar was chaired by Mr. Ahmed El-Wesimy, Member of the Chamber’s Board of Directors, with the participation of Mr. Ahmed Abdel-Wahab, Head of the Customs Brokers Division at the Chamber. The event was attended by Mr. Ahmed El-Askalany, Deputy Head of the Egyptian Customs Authority, along with a delegation from the Authority, as well as Mr. Mohamed Tammam, Secretary-General and Head of the Executive Body of the Chamber, and Mr. Hamdy Abdel-Moneim, Advisor to the Secretary-General.

From MTS, the seminar was attended by Eng. Khaled Nassef, Official Spokesman and Media Advisor; Dr. Mohsen Amin, Consultant to the Chairman; Ms. Amira El-Fateh, Team Lead of Business Analysis Dep, and Mr. Abdelrahman Gad Trainer at theTraining Dep.

The seminar witnessed the participation of members of the Customs Brokers Division and sectoral divisions concerned with import activities.

Mr. Ahmed El-Wesimy emphasized the importance of effective cooperation between the Chamber of Commerce, the Egyptian Customs Authority, and MTS, the operator of “Nafeza” platform, to stay updated on the latest customs developments and ACI Air system. This cooperation aims to facilitate import and export procedures, accelerate customs clearance, and support the business community in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030.

For his part, Mr. Ahmed El-Askalany delivered a presentation outlining the Customs Authority’s future plan to develop customs performance at seaports, land ports, and airports to ensure smoother trade flows. He also highlighted the ongoing cooperation with MTS and praised the positive impact of “Nafeza” platform in simplifying customs procedures and reducing clearance time.

Mr. Ahmed Abdel-Wahab stressed the significance of the seminar in light of recent customs developments, noting its role in discussing proposals, addressing the business community’s inquiries, and overcoming challenges facing companies, given the pivotal role of customs in supporting import and export activities.

During his speech, Eng. Khaled Nassef reviewed the key achievements of “Nafeza” platform since its launch in 2019, presenting figures that demonstrate its contribution to improving efficiency and performance within the customs system.

Ms. Amira El-Fateh provided a detailed explanation of the latest enhanced procedures and electronic services to be offered by the new Export System on “Nafeza” platform. In addition, Mr. Abdelrahman Gad delivered a practical demonstration on how to apply the ACI Air system through the platform.

At the conclusion of the seminar, an open discussion was held during which attendees raised several questions and inquiries. These were addressed by representatives of MTS and the Egyptian Customs Authority, ensuring effective implementation of both systems and achieving the highest levels of transparency and efficiency in inbound and outbound cargo movement.
