Introductory Seminar for the ECMI on the Export System on “Nafeza” Platform

In line with the Ministry of Finance and the Egyptian Customs Authority’s commitment to implementing the directives issued by the Prime Minister to develop the customs system, reduce cargo release time, and enhance customs control under the guidance of Mr. Ahmed Amawy, Head of the Egyptian Customs Authority one of the key pillars of this development is enhancing the export system and increasing Egypt’s export revenues to reach USD 140 billion.

The company attended an introductory seminar organized by the Exporters and Investors Support Unit at the Customs Authority, chaired by Mr. Ahmed El-Askallany, Deputy Head of the Authority, in cooperation and coordination with MTS , to present the updated export procedures cycle on “Nafeza” platform to members of the Export Council for Medical Industries, chaired by Dr. Mohy Hafez, Chairman of the Board, and coordinated with Ms. Rasha Nasr, Executive Director of the Export Council. The seminar was held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.

The seminar was attended by Mr. Ahmed El-Askallany, Deputy Head of the Egyptian Customs Authority; Mr. Amr Abou El-Nour, CEO of the Unit; Ms. Rasha Asfour, Director of International Cooperation at the Head of the Authority’s Office and Chair of the Communication and Media Committee at the Unit; Mr. Ahmed El-Shahawy, General Manager of Exports at Cairo Airport; Eng. Khaled Nassef, Official Spokesman and Media Advisor of the Company; and Ms. Amira El-Fateh, Team Lead of Business Analysis Department Dep.

The workshop was attended by more than 40 participants representing 25 companies.

The session was opened by Ms. Rasha Nasr, who welcomed the attendees. This was followed by a speech by Mr. Ahmed El-Askallany on the development and governance of the customs system and the customs facilitation package, including the new export system on “Nafeza” platform. He presented a detailed overview of the improvements and developments in performance, facilitation of customs procedures, and reduction of cargo release time. He also discussed the new export system and the facilitation measures provided for exporters, thanking the attendees for their participation.

Eng. Khaled Nassef then delivered a speech thanking the participants for their role as key partners in the success o “Nafeza” project, which has contributed to facilitating trade flows. He highlighted the key achievements of  “Nafeza” platform since its launch in 2019, emphasizing the significant improvement in performance indicators.

The seminar also included a detailed presentation by Ms. Amira on the updated export procedures cycle and the key stages of the electronic export file, ensuring faster procedures, reduced burdens on exporters, and enhanced integration among relevant entities within the customs system. Participants raised several questions and inquiries, which were addressed by customs officials and Ms. Amira.

Representatives of the Egyptian Customs Authority and MTS Company reaffirmed their commitment to continuous communication with export councils and to listening to the business community’s proposals and feedback, supporting the state’s efforts to increase export rates and achieve economic development targets.
