Introductory and Training Seminar for the ECEA on the Export and ACI Air Systems on “Nafeza” Platform

In line with the Ministry of Finance and the Egyptian Customs Authority’s commitment to implementing the directives issued by the Cabinet to develop the customs system—aimed at reducing cargo clearance times while strengthening customs control—and in accordance with the guidance of Mr. Ahmed Amawy, Head of the Egyptian Customs Authority, one of the key pillars of this development is enhancing the export system and increasing Egypt’s export revenues to reach USD 140 billion.

The company participated in an introductory and training seminar organized by the Exporters Support Unit at the Egyptian Customs Authority, headed by Mr. Ahmed El-Asqalani, Deputy Head of the Authority, in cooperation and coordination with the Egyptian-Chinese Entrepreneurs Association. The seminar aimed to present the updated export procedures cycle and the (ACI) system for air shipments on “Nafeza” platform to the association’s members, chaired by Eng. Magd Eldeen El-Manzalawy. The event was held on Monday, April 27, 2026, at the Egyptian Customs Authority headquarters.

The seminar was attended by Mr. Ahmed Amawy, Head of the Egyptian Customs Authority; Mr. Ahmed El-Asqalani, Deputy Head of the Authority; Mr. Amr Abu El-Nour, CEO of the Exporters Support Unit; Ms. Rasha Asfour, Director of International Cooperation at the Chairman’s Office and Head of the Communication and Media Committee at the Unit; Dr. Walid Mekki, Head of the Follow-up and Planning Committee; Eng. Khaled Nassef, Official Spokesman and Media Advisor for MTS, Ms. Amira El-Fateh, Team Lead of Business Analysis Department Dep, Mr. Abdelrahman Gad, Senior Trainer and Menna Elbana, Marketing and Public Relations Specialist.

The event also witnessed the presence of key members of the Egyptian-Chinese Entrepreneurs Association, including Mr. Mohamed Alaa, Secretary-General of the Association; Mr. Omar Wang, Vice Chairman and Head of the Chinese Community in Egypt; along with members of the executive office, headed by Commercial Counselor Mohsen El-Sheshtawy, Executive Director of the Association.

Among the attendees was also Mr. Mokhtar El-Sayed Bakry, a founding member of the Association and an international interpreter, who provided simultaneous interpretation throughout the seminar to ensure effective understanding among participants.

The workshop was attended by more than 35 participants representing 16 leading companies affiliated with the Association.

The session was opened by Mr. Ahmed Amawy with a welcoming speech, expressing his appreciation for the attendees and highlighting the Customs Authority’s development strategy and its impact on facilitating cross-border trade and strengthening Egypt’s international trade relations. He then gave the floor to Eng. Magd El-Manzalawy, who praised the efforts of the Egyptian Customs Authority, particularly in developing the export system, especially for Chinese companies investing in Egypt.

This was followed by Mr. Ahmed El-Asqalani, who discussed the development and governance of the customs system and the package of facilitation measures, including the new export system on “Nafeza” platform.

Eng. Khaled Nassef also delivered a speech expressing his sincere appreciation to the attendees, recognizing their role as key partners in the success of “Nafeza” platform, which serves as a cornerstone in digitizing the foreign trade system. He highlighted the platform’s tangible progress and its role in simplifying procedures and reducing clearance times, as well as the advantages offered by the new export system.

The seminar also included a detailed presentation of the updated export procedures cycle by Ms. Amira El-Fateh, who outlined the various stages of the electronic export file, ensuring faster processing, reduced burdens on exporters, and enhanced integration among relevant entities. The session concluded with an open discussion to address participants’ questions.

At the conclusion of the event, Mr. Ahmed El-Asqalani received the Association’s shield and presented certificates of appreciation to representatives of the Chinese companies in recognition of their active participation.

The seminar continued with a presentation by Mr. Abdelrahman Gad on the mechanisms of implementing the (ACI) system for air shipments, highlighting its role in reducing clearance times, enhancing transparency, and strengthening shipment control. This contributes to improving Egypt’s ranking in international trade indicators and boosting the competitiveness of Egyptian exports.

Representatives of the Egyptian Customs Authority and MTS reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining continuous engagement with the business community and listening to feedback and proposals to support the state’s efforts in increasing export rates and achieving the highest levels of transparency.

Speakers also emphasized that this step aligns with Egypt’s broader digital transformation strategy in the customs and ports sector, enhancing confidence among international partners particularly the Chinese side and contributing to increased trade volume by simplifying procedures and transitioning to an integrated digital system.

For their part, representatives of the Egyptian-Chinese Entrepreneurs Association praised the role of MTS in developing the IT infrastructure of the foreign trade system and confirmed the continuation of training seminars aimed at enhancing the efficiency of professionals in the import and export sectors.
