Workshop for the EECE on the ACI System and the Export System on ‘Nafeza’ Platform

Within the framework of the Ministry of Finance and the Egyptian Customs Authority’s keenness—represented by the Exporters and Investors Support Unit to implement the directives issued by the Prime Minister regarding the development of the customs system, in a manner that contributes to reducing cargo clearance time while strengthening customs control, and in line with the directives of H.E. Mr. Ahmed Kojok, Minister of Finance; H.E. Mr. Ahmed Amawy, Head of the Egyptian Customs Authority; and H.E. Mr. Ahmed Refaat El-Asqalany, Deputy Head of the Egyptian Customs Authority and Supervisor of the Exporters and Investors Support Unit;

On Sunday, January 25, 2026, a specialized seminar was held for the Engineering Industries Export Council. The seminar was organized by the Exporters and Investors Support Unit in cooperation with MTS, focusing on the developed export cycle, the latest reforms and procedures implemented by the Egyptian Customs Authority and their impact on exporting companies, as well as the Advanced Cargo Information (ACI) on “Nafeza” platform.

The seminar was attended by Mr. Amr Abu El-Nour, Executive Director of the Exporters and Investors Support Unit; Ms. Rasha Asfour, Director of the International Cooperation Department at the Office of the Head of the Authority and Head of the Media and Communication Committee at the Unit; and Dr. Walid Mekky, Assistant to the Head of the Egyptian Customs Authority. From MTS, Eng. Amira El-Fateh Team Lead of Business Analysis Dep and Mr. Abdelrahman Trainer from Training Dep.

The seminar aimed to provide a comprehensive overview of the latest changes and reforms introduced at the Egyptian Customs Authority, and to explain the practical mechanisms for dealing with the developed export system and the Advance Cargo Information system. This included a detailed explanation of the new export procedures through “Nafeza” platform and the process of integrating the Unique Consignment Reference (UCR) within the electronic export workflow, contributing to simplified procedures, reduced clearance time, and minimized operational errors.

Representatives of MTS also presented the latest system updates introduced to simplify transactions and enhance the efficiency of export operations. Mr. Abdelrahman Gad delivered a presentation explaining the mechanisms for implementing the Air Cargo ACI system and its role in reducing customs clearance time, enhancing transparency, and strengthening control over shipments. These measures contribute to improving Egypt’s ranking in international trade indicators and supporting the competitiveness of Egyptian exports. The session concluded with an open discussion to address the questions and inquiries of the council members.

The seminar also included a detailed presentation on the developed export procedures cycle, delivered by Eng. Amira El-Fateh, highlighting the key stages of the electronic export file processing. This ensures faster completion of procedures, reduces burdens on exporters, and achieves integration among the relevant entities within the customs system. The seminar concluded with responses to the participants’ questions and inquiries by officials from the Egyptian Customs Authority and representatives of MTS.
