Workshop on the Advance Cargo Information (ACI) for Air Shipments and the Enhanced Export Procedures on “NAFEZA” Platform

As part of its ongoing efforts to support the development of cross-border trade, MTS participated on Monday, 17 November 2025, in a distinguished workshop held at the Ministry of Finance Theater. The workshop focused on the Advance Cargo Information (ACI) system for air shipments and the enhanced export procedures on “NAFEZA” platform, organized by the Arab Federation of Customs Brokers, in cooperation with the Exporters and Investors Support Unit at the Egyptian Customs Authority.

The workshop witnessed the presence of several high-level officials, including:

Dr. Sami Ramadan and Mr. Ahmed Al-Asqalani, Deputy Chairmen of the Egyptian Customs Authority; Mr. Samir Abu Al-Nasr, Secretary-General of the Arab Federation of Customs Brokers; Eng. Khaled Nassef, Spokesman and Media Advisor of MTS Mr. Mohsen Amin consultant to the Chairman; Eng. Mohamed Khamis, Director of Business Analysis and Export Project Manager; Ms. Amira Mohamed Team lead of Business Analysis Dep and Mr. Ahmed Mostafa ACI Air Project Manager.

The workshop also saw wide participation from representatives of concerned government entities and the private sector, with more than 70 attendees representing 60 companies.

Dr. Sami Ramadan opened the workshop with a welcoming speech in which he highlighted the role of NAFEZA platform in facilitating trade and enhancing services provided to the trade community in cooperation with the Egyptian Customs Authority. This was followed by a detailed presentation from Mr. Ahmed Al-Asqalani, who outlined the customs development plan, the role of the ACI system for air shipments, and the new export system on NAFEZA platform, emphasizing the importance of integration among all relevant authorities.

Mr. Samir Abu Al-Nasr expressed his appreciation for attending this important event and praised the continuous role of NAFEZA platform and its positive impact on the trade community and digital transformation. Eng. Khaled Nassef also delivered a word of thanks to all attendees and presented key performance indicators demonstrating the achievements of  NAFEZA platform since its launch.

Eng. Mohamed Khamis and Ms. Amira Mohamed then reviewed the latest enhanced procedures and electronic services that will be provided through the new export system on “NAFEZA” platform.

Additionally, Mr. Ahmed Mostafa delivered a practical demonstration on how to apply the ACI system for air shipments.

All inquiries and questions from participants representing both MTS and the Egyptian Customs Authority were addressed, covering the application of both systems and their integration into the daily operations of customs brokers, ensuring the highest levels of transparency and efficiency in the handling of inbound and outbound shipments.
