
In line with its commitment to supporting the business community and strengthening cooperation with executive authorities, the company participated in the expanded meeting organized by the Egyptian Chamber of Commerce in Alexandria at the chamber's headquarter on Thursday 11th of December 2025, chaired by Mr. Ahmed El-Wakeel, to discuss the development of the customs system and “Nafeza” platform.
The meeting was chaired by Mr. Ahmed Saqr, Vice Chairman of the Chamber’s Board of Directors, and attended by the Customs Brokers Committee headed by Mr. Mohamed El-Argawy, the International Transport Committee headed by Mr. Abdel-Aal Ali Abdel-Aal, and senior officials from the Egyptian Customs Authority. The meeting was held at the Chamber’s headquarters in Raml Station.
The meeting discussed the (ACI Aviation) system and the enhanced export procedures cycle on “Nafeza” platform, in the presence of Dr. Sami Ramadan, Deputy Head of the Egyptian Customs Authority; Mr. Ahmed El-Askalany, Deputy Head of the Authority and Head of the Central Administration for Air Imports and Exports Customs; Brigadier Mohamed Roshwan, Head of the Human Resources and Capacity Building Sector; Dr. Magdy Kamal El-Shahawy, Head of the Central Administration for Alexandria and El-Dekheila Customs; and Ms. Nesreen Khalil, General Director of Training Programs Implementation at the Authority.
The meeting was also attended by several senior Customs Authority leaders and members of the Chamber’s Board of Directors, including Mr. Mohamed Hefny, Mr. Ashraf Abu Ismail, Mr. Mohamed El-Sayed, and Mr. Mohamed El-Mahdawy, Secretary General of the Chamber.
Representing MTS, the meeting was attended by Eng. Gamal Kotb, General Manager; Eng. Khaled Nassef, Official Spokesman and Media Advisor; Eng. Ossama Kaddal Core Business Application Director, Mr. Mohsen Amin Chairman Consultant, Mr. Ashraf Ibrahim Operations Manager, Eng. Mohamed Khamis, Business Analysis Manager and Export Project Manager, and Mr. Ahmed Mostafa ACI Project Manager.
The meeting witnessed broad participation from representatives of commercial divisions and customs brokers.
The meeting was opened by Mr. Ahmed Saqr, who welcomed the attendees and gave the floor to Dr. Sami Ramadan, who highlighted the role of “Nafeza” platform in facilitating trade movement in cooperation with the Customs Authority and efforts to improve Egypt’s customs ranking.
This was followed by a detailed presentation by Mr. Ahmed El-Askalany who outlined the customs development plan and explained the role of the ACI system and the new export system on “Nafeza” platform. He also emphasized the importance of inter-agency integration and discussed valuation through artificial intelligence systems to ensure full financial accuracy without human intervention.
Brigadier Mohamed Rashwan noted the continuous modernization and development of customs operations in the areas of human resources and capacity building.
Dr. Magdy Kamal El-Shahawy also stated that the mandatory implementation of the enhanced export procedures cycle (UCR) aims to achieve full transparency in transactions.
Officials stressed during the meeting the importance of “Nafeza” platform in facilitating electronic trade and improving customs procedures, alongside developing AI-based valuation systems to ensure financial accuracy without human intervention. They also highlighted ongoing human resource development and the mandatory application of the enhanced export procedures cycle to achieve the highest levels of transparency.
Eng. Gamal Kotb emphasized the effective role of “Nafeza” platform in automating and digitizing transport and shipping documents and resolving challenges faced by traders, stressing the importance of continued coordination between the Chamber of Commerce and the Customs Authority to ensure market stability.
Eng. Mohamed Khamis then reviewed the latest enhanced procedures and electronic services to be provided by the new export system on “Nafeza” platform, followed by Mr. Ahmed Mostafa, who delivered a practical presentation explaining the implementation of ACI Aviation system.
The meeting concluded with responses to the inquiries of representatives of the commercial divisions, reaffirming the importance of transparency and efficiency in inbound and outbound shipment operations.
