
As part of its continuous commitment to supporting members of the trade community and keeping them informed of the latest developments, the company participated in the second workshop organized by the (AEO) on the Advanced Cargo Information (ACI) system for Air Shipments and the Enhanced Export Procedures Cycle, in preparation for their implementation starting January 2026.
The workshop was held on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at the Ministry of Finance headquarters, under the leadership of Ms. Amal Nous Gendy, Head of the Central Administration, and in the presence of Mr. Ahmed Amawy, Head of the Egyptian Customs Authority, along with his deputies Dr. Samy Ramadan and Mr. Ahmed Al-Asqalani.
From MTS, attendees included Eng. Khaled Nassef, Official Spokesman and Media Advisor of the company; Mr. Mohsen Amin, Advisor to the Chairman; Mr. Ahmed Mostafa, ACI Project Manager; Eng. Mohamed Khamees, Business Analysis Manager and Export Project Manager; Ms. Amira Mohamed, Head of Business Analysis; and Mr. Abdelrahman Gad, Trainer at the company’s Training Department, and a number of the company’s team members.
The workshop witnessed the participation of over 285 attendees representing around 200 companies from various sectors.
The session opened with a welcoming speech by Ms. Amal Nous, who greeted the participants and emphasized the importance of continued collaboration between the Customs Authority, MTS, and the trade community to ensure the successful implementation of both the ACI system and the Export Cycle.
In his opening remarks, Mr. Ahmed Amawy, Head of the Customs Authority, welcomed the attendees and expressed his pleasure with the organization of such an important event, reaffirming the Authority’s commitment to ongoing communication with all stakeholders.
He praised MTS and “Nafeza” platform for representing a major leap forward in streamlining customs procedures and strengthening the partnership between the Customs Authority and the private sector. He commended the services provided through the platform, which have significantly contributed to facilitating trade, reducing clearance times, and enhancing transparency and efficiency in customs operations.
Mr. Amawy also highlighted the importance of the (ACI) system, noting its positive outcomes in simplifying customs procedures and affirming his full support for its successful implementation. He further expressed his interest in holding additional workshops in coordination with relevant authorities to raise awareness and provide technical support to the trade community.
Mr. Ahmed Al-Asqalani delivered a detailed presentation outlining the Customs System Development Plan, reviewing the key steps being implemented to improve performance and facilitate procedures for stakeholders, in line with the Authority’s comprehensive digital transformation strategy.
Meanwhile, Dr. Samy Ramadan addressed the Customs Authority’s ongoing efforts to modernize and simplify customs processes, fostering a more efficient and transparent business environment.
Eng. Khaled Nassef presented the key achievements of “Nafeza” platform since its launch in 2019, highlighting measurable improvements in performance rates and procedural efficiency.
After that Abdelrahman Gad delivered an informative presentation on the Air Cargo ACI system, explaining its implementation steps and main advantages.
In addition, Eng. Mohamed Khamees and Ms. Amira Mohamed presented an overview of the enhanced Export Procedures Cycle, followed by a Q&A session in which questions from participants about the new Export system and the ACI Aviation were addressed by Mr. Ahmed Anis, General Manager at the Technology Sector, Mr. Mohamed Abdel-Aal, Head of the Technical Office for Postal Parcels at Cairo Airport, and from MTS, Mr. Ahmed Mostafa, Eng. Mohamed Khamees, and Ms. Amira Mohamed.
